Job Description BorgWarner Technical Center India Private Limited, a subsidiary of BorgWarner Inc. is looking for experienced and enthusiastic professionals in the areas of electronics hardware design. This engineering manager position is a key role in the electronics hardware architecture ( HWA) team , delivering integrated hybrid and electrified vehicle solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

Leads the team in developing projects for ECU and hybrid powertrain applications.

Responsible for project deliverables and customer satisfaction ? Schedule, Risks, Quality and Customer commitments.

Manage around 10-15 engineers ? Resource management, Recruiting, Mentoring, Coaching, Career development, Daily execution enabling and Performance evaluation.

Identify and resolve project issues by co-coordinating with multiple sites, competencies & functional groups. Coordinates/Collaborates with Global teams towards Engineering assignments and tasks.

Provide technical direction, conduct regular project reviews and take appropriate corrective actions.

Understand state of the art (new technologies like Functional Safety, Cyber Security and ASIC functionalities) and technically mentor the team.

Streamline HWA process across projects, find areas of improvements to reduce execution time and improve quality.

Proactively manage project risks.

Responsible for Process definition, maintenance and adherence within the project teams.

Define and deliver on long term capability development strategy for the HWA Group

Experience/Skill Requisites:

Expertise in requirements derivation, manage it using tools (e.g. Polarion & Doors), systems architecture design and developing product mechanization.

Knowledge of V-Model Development Methodology

Expertise in Powertrain Sub-Systems (e.g. Fuel, Spark, PT Sensors), Vehicle Architecture and HIL testing.

Expertise in OBD1, OBD2 & Diagnostics Protocols (e.g. J1939 & KWP2000).

Expertise in Automotive Microcontrollers, ASIC?s, Measurement & Calibration tools (e.g. INCA & Lauterbach)

Knowledge on Matlab modeling, communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN) and Functional Safety would be an added advantage.

Experience in planning/tracking project teams supporting multiple regions.

Multi-disciplinary support exposure on Systems, Software, Verification and Validation functions is desirable.

Exposure to ASPICE and other quality process.

Experience delivering a project with functional safety (ISO26262) requirements.

Knowledge of Cyber security (ISO 21434)

Working knowledge/Understanding standard processes for Embedded Automotive Industry.

Good analytical, problem solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Highly self-motivated and energetic
