Job Description

he HVAC Refrigeration Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as refrigeration equipment, including commercial refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines, by diagnosing faults, replacing parts, and ensuring optimal cooling performance in buildings.

Refrigeration experience such as walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers, light refrigeration rack systems, and ice machines is a plus .

Compensation: $19-$42/hr. (depending on skillset and experience)

Requirements & Responsibilities:

35-year HVAC experience preferred.
RTU experience up to 20 tons with no supervision.
RTU experience up to 50 tons with minimal supervision
Advanced electrical training
Understanding of electrical schematics
Familiar with easy laser tools and how to align
Ability to perform inspections and service with no supervision up to 20 tons
Ability to perform inspections and service on vane axial fans
Knowledge in balancing fans and blower wheels
Knowledgeable in pumps
Knowledge in basics of building automation
Furthering education in cooling towers
Must complete classes for Basic Chiller, Water Flow, and RTU
Must have previous experience working on multiple buildings at once
Must be able to provide service independently
Basic Tools Required: Basic hand tools, digital scales, torch set, micron gauge, multimeter, refrigerant gauges, nitrogen regulator, nitrogen bottles, manometer
