Housekeeping Heavy Porter

About the Role

The Housekeeping Heavy Porter is responsible for cleaning and service all hotel areas and is responsible for the safe and effective operation of heavy-duty equipment.

Position Responsibilities

• Clean and service all Hotel areas including specifically the safe and effective operation of heavy-duty equipment, carpet shampooing, moving of furniture and other tasks necessary to ensure our guests experience a pleasing perception when coming to the Ocean Casino Resort .
• Deliver supplies where needed, e.g. in guest rooms, bathroom tissue, tissues, soap, etc. and other supply closets located throughout the property
• Promptly reports any maintenance problems with equipment or the property and any guest need to Supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast pace environment
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel areas
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shift hours
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• Must be guest oriented. Previous experience is helpful.
• Must be knowledgeable in the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment.
• Must demonstrate good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
