Hotel Chief Engineer

Marvin Love and Associates is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Chief Engineer at a lodge-resort boasting 130+ rooms and 80+ RV sites. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with overseeing all engineering operations to uphold the lodge-resort's infrastructure and facilities to the highest standards.

Location: Central California : Confidential Property, specifics will be shared with eligible candidates

Compensation: $110k - $115k base salary with a 20% bonus

Title: Chief Engineer

Your duties will include:

• Supervising all engineering functions, encompassing maintenance, repairs, and enhancements for both lodge accommodations and RV sites.
• Leading and guiding a team of maintenance and engineering professionals, offering training and assistance to ensure operational excellence.
• Creating and executing preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
• Ensuring adherence to local health and safety regulations as well as industry standards.
• Collaborating with various departments to identify engineering requirements and deliver timely solutions.
• Formulating and managing the engineering budget, ensuring efficient resource distribution.
• Managing vendor agreements and nurturing relationships with external service providers.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in facilities and engineering management, especially within the resort or hospitality sector. A proactive problem-solving approach, robust leadership skills, and exceptional communication abilities are crucial for success in this position.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Chief Engineer or equivalent engineering management role
• Comprehensive technical proficiency in mechanical systems, electrical systems, and plumbing
• Demonstrated leadership competencies and adeptness in staff management
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Familiarity with compliance and safety standards prevalent in the hospitality industry
• Preferably possess relevant certifications in engineering or a related field
