Toolkit Tutors is a provider of in-school and after-school tutoring services, committed to enhancing student learning through a blend of traditional high-impact tutoring and study skills training.
Pay: $30/hr
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Bilingual Spanish - High School Math Tutor to join our team to provide in-person tutoring services to a Brooklyn high school starting ASAP. The ideal candidate will work in-person with high school students, assisting them in improving their math skills and preparing them for the Regents exams. Being bilingual in Spanish is a crucial asset as it will help us better support our diverse student population.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Target launch date November 20, 2024
- Schedule of 3 five-hour days each week
- Pay range from $30 per hour depending on prior tutoring experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group tutoring sessions in high school math to students in grades 9-12.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those who are English Language Learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to support student learning and engagement.
- Collaborate with school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching high school math.
- Familiarity with the New York State Regents exams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with high school students and adapt to their individual learning needs.
