We have a current opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Airfield Lighting projects at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. This project will start March 2025 and run through August 2025.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment
• Experience with backhoes, excavator, skid steer, water truck, and wheel loaders
• CAT 336, 349
• Must have experience in the Water, Sewer, Storm Drain or underground utility field
• General knowledge of confined space entry, construction, complex pumping systems, electrical
• Competent and knowledgeable relating to OSHA excavation requirements
• Knowledge of construction stakes and grades
• Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections; maintain daily log
• Experience with deep excavations preferred (i.e. 15ft +)
• Must be eligible for airport badging process

Salary Range:

• $20-24/hr
• Note:This is a Private Base Rate. This position is Prevailing Wage/Davis Bacon Eligible depending on project assignment. Additional fringe benefits may per project designated wage determination.
