Food Preparation Worker Job Description

Responsibilities:
Prepare food items according to recipes and customer orders
Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers
Package and label food items for takeout orders
Assist with bussing tables and cleaning dining areas

Qualifications:
Basic math skills, including the ability to perform retail math calculations
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required
