AWS Industries seeks a world class Finance Manager to provide end-to-end financial support to one of our fastest growing business units, working with some of AWS? largest and most complex accounts. The successful candidate will help drive the growth of the organization by providing financial stewardship and analytical insights into key financial and operational performance metrics. They will be a strategic partner to the business and assist in evaluating operational processes, business opportunities, and support planning / forecasting.

The successful candidate will develop/refine models and metrics packages, in addition to handling day-to-day activities such as forecasting/planning and projects. You will leverage your educational and applied work experience to help streamline planning/reporting, as well as identify improvement and prioritization opportunities within these business areas. You will also manage appropriate month-end close processes, risk and opportunity guidance and facilitate financial review meetings with the various business groups. You will also be responsible for building and developing the tools and instrumentation necessary to address business opportunities, push manual processes automation, continuously improve internal controls, and drive relationship building across AWS. This person must have a passion for detail and the ability to dive deep into the foundational building blocks of the AWS Industries organization.

Key job responsibilities

Drive modeling and forecasting for all teams within the organization

Manage month-end close processes and reporting for Key Metrics across the business units

Possess the passion and demonstrated skills for developing relationships, processes and continuous improvement

Provide leadership, guidance and implementation on driving process improvement

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

MBA, or CPA

Knowledge of SQL/ETL

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
