Facilities Custodian/Assistant

The Facilities Custodian/Assistant ensures clean, organized, and well-stocked spaces, creating a professional and welcoming environment. This role handles cleaning, restocking, and food service support while following safety standards. Strong time management and adaptability are key to maintaining efficiency and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain Cleanliness & Public Spaces: Clean and maintain conference rooms, lobbies, hallways, and break areas, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
• Floor & Surface Care: Vacuum carpets, spot clean floors, and polish surfaces using approved cleaning methods and supplies.
• Glass & Surface Maintenance: Clean mirrors, glass, tile, and marble to uphold a pristine appearance.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow proper chemical usage and safety protocols during all cleaning operations.
• Caf? & Food Service Support: Maintain Perry Cafes by cleaning tables after lunch and during events, contributing to a pleasant dining experience.
• Dishwashing & Setup Assistance: Assist with dishwashing (coffee mugs, plates, utensils) and support lunch setup and breakdown as needed.
• Restocking & Inventory Management: Ensure snack and beverage machines, along with designated areas, are stocked with supplies.
• Supply Monitoring: Track inventory of cleaning supplies and consumables, alerting management of low stock levels.
• Special Project Assistance: Support urgent projects, managing tasks effectively under time constraints.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated Experience in Housekeeping or Facility Maintenance.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, supplies, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
