Energy & Natural Resources Associate (Junior-Level)

The Energy & Natural Resources Industry Group of Reed Smith LLP is seeking a junior associate to join the finance team located in the Chicago office. Candidates with an interest in transactional matters including commercial lending, trade finance, receivables financings and other types of domestic and cross border secured and unsecured financing transactions are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have strong academic credentials, excellent oral and writing skills and superior organizational skills. Participation in law school activities (law review, moot court, etc.), strength of character, outstanding personal skills, demonstrated leadership and teamwork, a hunger for self-development, intellectual curiosity and a good sense of humor are must haves. Students who have applied energy towards building their skill set above and beyond the classroom are standouts for us. We also value community contributions, work experience and demonstrated initiative. Additionally, candidates should be admitted to the IL Bar or should have recently sat for the July IL Bar Exam.
