Responsibilities

Manages the electrical safety program for compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E.


Enforcement of NRTL listed equipment.

Serve as the SME or incident investigator for electrical incidents.

Use electrical safety knowledge and extensive experience to make judgement calls to maintain safe work practices and comply with standards.

Evaluate and determine proper PPE needed for qualified electrical workers.

Owner of TN location's safe practices manual for electrical safety.

Trapped key interlock contact for TN site.

Corporate support:

o

Lead the global Electrical Safety Center of Excellence team.

o

Owner of TN site and global electrical procedures and guidelines.

o

Trapped key interlock resource for other Eastman sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.

CESCP certification preferred.

4+ years of experience with managing an electrical safety program.

Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, 70B, and OSHA 1910.269 and Subpart S.

Familiar with arc flash calculations in accordance with IEEE 1584.

Experience working with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories for field evaluations and limited product certifications (TUV, Intertek, UL, etc.).

Knowledge of (hazardous) electrically classified locations.

Experience evaluating portable electronic devices for use in electrically classified locations.

Combustible dust experience and hazard mitigation techniques.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office.

Proficient organizational and time management skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to climb ladders and stand for periods of time.

Experience with 480V equipment and maintenance.
