Polsinelli is seeking a mid-level patent agents agent to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group. This position is open to our Atlanta, Atlanta, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Washington, DC, Houston, Kansas City, or Phoenix offices.Phoenix offices, with a preference for Washington, DC, or San Francisco. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience, and superb writing and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will possess 3+ at least years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience and a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or physics.
Preferred experience:
- Patent prosecution in either electrical engineering or software-related technologies; and/or
- Data science/ AI, or networking technologies, We are especially network security is encouraged; and/or
- Machine learning/artificial intelligence (in addition to data science) interested in candidates who can draft, file, and hardware security.
Admission to the USPTO is required. Please submit a cover letter, resume, undergraduate transcript (and graduate when applicable), and writing sample (preferred patent application).
Compensation: Salary will range between $110,000 - $190,000, depending on experience. A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance. This role is also eligible for the following firm benefits: medical Insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, voluntary insurance including vision, 401(k) plan and paid time off.
