Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Docket Support Lawyer is responsible for providing calendar and court support to assigned litigation case teams and works as part of a network of docket professionals who work in a regional assignment structure across all US offices. Candidates should understand the workflow for a variety of litigation cases to accurately enter case information and select the appropriate court jurisdiction utilizing a rule based docketing software as well as be able to advise case teams on a wide range of procedural issues arising at every stage of the litigation process in both state and federal courts.Required Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree required with current New York bar admission. Four (4) years of docketing or relevant litigation experience or docketing/litigation support experience. Litigation experience preferred. Knowledge of federal court procedural rules preferred. Experience conducting legal research using Bloomberg Law and PACER and docket management software such as CompuLaw preferred. Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. The starting salary range for this New York position is $160,000 to $190,000.
