Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Discovery Attorney to join our litigation team. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney with deep expertise in e-discovery and litigation support who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The position is not partner-track, but offers a strong compensation package and the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile matters. Key Responsibilities E-Discovery Strategy & Management Develop and implement defensible, efficient, and cost-effective e-discovery strategies tailored to case needs. Advise trial teams and clients on best practices for data preservation, collection, review, and production. Collaborate with trial team to ensure discovery positions are consistent with overall case strategy. Collaborate with trial team on fact development for case briefs, depositions, and trial. Written Discovery & Dispute Resolution Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. Lead and participate in meet-and-confer sessions with opposing counsel. Draft protective orders and ESI protocols. Address and resolve discovery disputes, including drafting motions to compel as needed. Client & Trial Team-Facing Support Serve as a key point of contact for clients on discovery-related issues. Collaborate with trial teams to ensure discovery efforts align with case strategy and timelines. Preservation & Collection Oversight Coordinate legal hold processes and data collection efforts across client systems and custodians. Ensure compliance with discovery obligations and defensibility of processes. Vendor & Technology Management Manage relationships with e-discovery vendors and platforms. Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to optimize review and production workflows. Review & Production Supervision Oversee document review teams and ensure quality control. Manage production processes, including privilege review, redactions, and metadata handling. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership. 5+ years of experience in e-discovery, litigation support, or related legal practice. Deep understanding of the EDRM lifecycle, FRCP, and relevant case law. Experience with leading e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO).
