Associate - Litigation

BakerHostetler?s Columbus office is seeking a talented litigation associate to join our litigation team. Qualified applicants will have 4?8 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, with a strong background handling matters in both federal and state courts. Requisite experience includes conducting initial claim investigations, drafting pleadings, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, working with expert witnesses, and participating in trials or arbitration. Prior experience with class action litigation is a plus.
Other requirements include:
Excellent academic credentials, including a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school
Strong research, writing, oral advocacy, and discovery skills
The ability to manage a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues
The professional commitment and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with clients and succeed in a collaborative team environment
Must be committed to being in the office more often than not
Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio or meet the qualifications for admittance to the Ohio bar without examination
