EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Minimum Qualifications A juris doctor degree or its equivalent from an accredited law school and experience as a practicing attorney. Member of the SC Bar.Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 3 years' experience as a practicing attorney.Completion of Rule 403 requirements.Knowledge of SC laws, the Administrative Procedures Act, judicial and quasit-judicial procedures and rules of evidence, and general case, statutory, and common law.Considerable knowledge of SC laws, general cases and statutory and common law.Knowledge of the policies, standards and procedures of the Attorney General?s office. Ability to interpret and apply laws in court decisions.Ability to analyze facts, evidence and legal instruments.Ability to express conclusions and arguments clearly and logically.Ability to perform research and to understand aspects of professional practices as they related to disciplinary proceedings.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Other RequirementsPosition works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.May require occasional work outside of normal office hours.Occasional overnight travel and weekend assignments.
