The Director of Research and Program Development is responsible for leading the research, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that support youth and families. This role ensures that programs are evidence-based, data-driven, and aligned with the organization's strategic vision. The Director collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to assess community needs, develop innovative program models, and enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination & Implementation
Lead the development, coordination, and execution of programs serving youth and families.
Ensure alignment of programs with best practices, community needs, and organizational goals.
Develop and oversee program implementation frameworks, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor program outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery.
Strategic Planning & Development
Contribute to the organization's long-term strategy by identifying emerging trends and best practices in youth and family services.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine programmatic goals and objectives.
Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in services and opportunities for growth.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, academic institutions, government agencies, and funders.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance program offerings and research initiatives.
Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other public engagements.
Data Analysis, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Design and implement evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform program decisions and improvements.
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for measuring success.
Develop and implement quality assurance processes for program monitoring and improvement.
Reporting, Presentations & Communication
Prepare and present reports on program impact, outcomes, and recommendations to leadership, funders, and stakeholders.
Develop written materials, including research briefs, grant proposals, and policy recommendations.
Ensure compliance with funding requirements and reporting guidelines.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Education, Sociology, or related discipline). A master's degree is preferred.
Experience : Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project coordination, program management, or program development within a youth and family service organization.
Licensed child Care Administrator-Texas, Preferred.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in youth development, family services, and nonprofit program evaluation.
Experience in strategic planning, data analysis, and outcome measurement.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience with grant writing and report development.
Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including funders, policymakers, and community partners.
Proficiency in research methodologies, data visualization tools, and program evaluation frameworks.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience supervising staff or leading teams is a plus.
Valid driver's license and availability for travel as required.
