Job Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals navigating recovery? MHA's GRIT program is looking for dedicated, compassionate Relief Staff to join our team on a per diem basis. GRIT is a Residential Rehabilitation Services program designed to support adults experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health diagnoses as they work toward long-term recovery.
As a Relief Staff member, you will:
- Provide direct support and supervision to residents in a welcoming, recovery-focused environment.
- Assist residents in achieving personal recovery goals through person-driven, structured programming.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of case managers, clinicians, prescribers, and recovery staff.
- Help promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere within our GRIT residences.
Requirements
- Must be available to pick up shifts as necessary, working a minimum of 2 required shifts per month.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a safe, reliable vehicle to utilize during work hours
- Must have auto insurance with your name listed on the policy as an insured driver
- Must have an acceptable driving record (no more than 3 violations within the past 3 years)
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a background and CORI check
- Must be able to pass and maintain certifications in medication administration (MAP), CPR, and First Aid.
- Must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with a team.
- Must be comfortable with a person-centered approach, with adaptability to support participants' changing needs.
