Digital Design Engineer

Syntiant Corp., is a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space. We are seeking a lead?Digital Design Engineer?who will be designing the digital systems and building blocks for MEMS microphones. Together with the analog/mixed-signal designers, test development engineers and other team members, you will be developing high-performance, low-power ASICs from concept to high-volume production. Requirements Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop the digital architecture including audio signal path (DSP) and analog-digital interface with the project team.
• Build complex functional and behavioral models of the systems using Matlab/Simulink, Verilog-AMS, etc.
• Perform RTL design, synthesis, timing closure, scan pattern generation, power optimization and supervise the RTL-to-GDS flow.
• Define the digital verification plan.
• Verify the digital system and blocks in collaboration with the digital verification engineer.
• Develop low-power audio signal processing architectures.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:

• Advanced Degree in electronic engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of proven track record in developing digital blocks/systems for high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits in a consumer or industrial R&D environment.
• Good understanding of the entire digital design flow and DFT.
• Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) implementations
• Hands-on experience in designing low-power digital circuits.
• Good understanding of most common concepts and metrics used in analog/mixed signal design (Sampling, Quantization, FFT, SNR, THD, etc.)
• Experience with sigma delta ADCs or audio signal processing.
• Understanding of the most common limitations and issues of analog circuits (offset, gain error, distortion, etc.) is an advantage.
• Knowledge in EDA tools such as Cadence Digital EDA suite (Genus, Tempus, Jasper, Voltus, Modus, Conformal etc.) is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of Matlab/Simulink environment.
• Structured and methodological approach.
• Strong team player.
• Good spoken and written communication skills in English.
