Job Description
NYC Alliance Company LLC is seeking a dynamic and innovative Designer specializing in Cut & Sew and Sweaters for our Discount division. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing stylish, high-quality garments that cater to our value-oriented customers while maintaining the brand's identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Design Director and cross-functional teams to conceptualize and create new Cut & Sew and Sweater designs
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to inspire new designs
- Create detailed sketches, tech packs, and specifications for production
- Participate in fittings and provide feedback on fit and finish of garments
- Coordinate the sample process to ensure timely production and delivery of samples
- Communicate with overseas production teams to provide direction and ensure quality standards are met
- Assist in developing seasonal color palettes and trend guides for the collection
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Cut & Sew and Sweater design
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and knitting techniques
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design expertise in cut & sew and sweater categories
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
