We are seeking a Deputy General Counsel to join our team, with a special focus in labor and employment law. In this role, you'll be conducting HR and EEO investigations, defending the Agency in administrative proceedings (BOLI, EEOC, DOL, ERB), and assisting with labor arbitrations. You also will be responsible for advising on a variety of employment and labor matters, ensuring that our organization remains compliant with all legal regulations and guidelines.
This role provides support for more senior staff within the Labor Relations and Human Resources Division and the rest of the Agency, using your legal research and writing skills to prepare comprehensive legal documents and analyze complex legal issues. You will work closely with our team to ensure that legal services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner, while also maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a background and strong interest in labor and employment law, as well as experience in legal research and writing. You should also be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
