Job Description


  • Experiencewith Cognos is required
  • Experiencewith Costpoint Contracts and Subcontract modules is highly desired
  • BusinessAnalytical skills to translate functional requirements into applicationsolutions is a must
  • Prepareand maintain documentation, including requirements, specifications,process flows and procedures and provide expertise and assistance toensure all process are designed to meet DCAA, audit and security practices
  • Ensurechange control procedures and processes are followed in accordance withpolicies
  • Establish/SetupProject Codes
  • Workwith Database and System Administrators along with other technical SMEs tomonitor system performance and processing, troubleshoot performanceissues, investigate critical system errors, capture traces, and analyzeserver logs
  • Leadthe evaluation, escalation and resolution of defects with the Costpointand T&E vendor (Deltek)
  • Evaluatescenarios, and work with user community to devise and execute various testplans including unit, system, interface and integration with otherbusiness systems (EDI, Cargowise, SmartView, Oracle _____)
  • Configureand maintain Costpoint System Admin Module
  • Performinitial and regular interval health checks.
  • Act asfunctional SME for all Costpoint modules, such as: accounts payable,accounts receivable, general ledger, project setup, cost revenue, billing,employee, labor, payroll, compensation, personnel, cost pools, fixedassets, procurement, etc.
  • Maintaina working knowledge of the front-end application screens, functions andjob processing and how these ties to the database tables and otherapplications, functions and processes.
  • Maintainunderlying Costpoint and Deltek T&E databases and concepts
  • Developtraining material and deliver training in any of the major Costpointmodules. Maintain training documentation/user guides applicable.

Requirements

  • 5-8years of hands on experience in Costpoint support and administrationrequired
  • 2+years of experience with Costpoint Extensibility
  • 2+years of experience with Data Migration
  • Abilityto research, determine relevance, organize and formulate recommendationsinvolving complex financial information and systems pertaining toCostpoint
  • StrongExcel skills a must as well as proficiency with MS Office
  • Provenpartnering with multiple internal departments to include strong backgroundin supporting cross-functional teams
  • Abilityto contribute to a professional work environment by demonstratingintegrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communications
  • Abilityto work in a deadline-oriented environment is essential
  • Abilityto adapt to changing work efforts, manage the impact of shifting priorities,and resolve technical/functional emergencies as they occur
  • Experiencewith all aspects of technical support for Costpoint and Deltek Time &Expense (TE) systems. This includes system upgrades, planning, design, auditsas well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Understandingof the underlying Costpoint and Deltek TE databases and concepts
  • Strongunderstanding of the underlying infrastructure setup (i.e. web servers,app servers, job servers, database servers) and how it relates to the Databaseand Application
  • Workingknowledge of front-end applications screens, functions and job processingand how these ties to the database tables and other applications,functions and processes
  • Strongwritten skills required to include design specs, test scripts (unit andfunctional), and requirements documents
  • Understandingof cloud and SaaS platform-based company operations, and infrastructure
  • Abilityto interface with personnel at all levels directly or virtually
