Designation: Data Science - II Job Type: WFO (5 days) Location: Bangalore, Karnataka About the Role ? We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist with experience in the lending or fintech domain, particularly in underwriting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data science, model operations, and analytics, with the ability to manage data pipelines and infrastructure effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy data models, focusing on underwriting and credit scoring.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality and readiness for modeling.
• Work closely with the underwriting team to refine and improve credit risk models.
• Conduct in-depth analysis using statistical and machine learning methods to provide insights for decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
• Ensure effective model deployment and monitor performance through model ops and model infrastructure operations.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

Required Skillsets:

• Strong understanding of data science concepts and techniques.
• Experience with model operations (Model Ops) and model infrastructure operations.
• Expertise in data cleaning, transformation, and pipeline development.
• Solid knowledge of the lending space, including credit risk assessment and underwriting processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex insights.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Experience with PySpark for big data processing.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Knowledge of AWS Lambda for serverless computing and model deployment.

Preferred Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in the lending or fintech sector.
• Hands-on experience in developing underwriting models.
