Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1
Location: Boydton, VA
Pay Range:
$23-$25/hour
Duration:
18 Months on W2
Night Shift: 12-hrs (Sun-Wed) & (Sun-Tue) - 6:30pm - 6:30am
What's the Job?
Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance.
Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program.
Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs.
Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports.
Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission and follow procedures for preparing and decommissioning equipment.
What's Needed?
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.
0-2 years of experience in a related field.
