Requirements

Data Analyst: 1.0 Scientific Information Services Level I (1)

Help create processes for social science data acquisition and stewardship and support change management across NESDIS to adopt those processes

Provide day-to-day support for stakeholders using NESDIS data acquisition and stewardship systems

Provide expert guidance and support on data analysis to a variety of user engagement projects to help NESDIS extract value from its data (unstructured data, NLP/ML applications, multi-modal)

Design and manage collection, reporting and visualization dashboards

Perform analyses on user engagement data

Experience working with a variety of data management and visualization tools, such as

PowerBI,

Tableau

Google Looker Studio

Experience working with Customer Relationship Management systems a plus

Important:

Good organizational skills, detail oriented

Good communication and critical thinking skills

Proactively identifies potential roadblocks and creates plans to overcome them."

BA/BS in a quantitative science or social science field, such as economics, statistics, or data science, familiar with Natural Language Processing applications and aspects of unstructured databases.

5+ years of experience working in the field
