Parsons Behle & Latimer is seeking a Cybersecurity / Privacy attorney with 3+ years of experience to join has an opening in our Salt Lake City, Utah office for a cybersecurity | privacy attorney. The firm is at the forefront of the legal communities in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana and the Intermountain Region. Requirements and Qualifications: Experience assisting our clients in with all aspects of privacy and cybersecurity, including strategic counseling, compliance, incident response and defense of regulatory actions, data breach investigations and cyberattacks. The position involves cyberattacks Experience regarding data breach prevention and remediation, training and reviewing safeguards designed to meet clients? unique needs and circumstances. The successful applicant should be able to evaluate circumstances Familiarity evaluating clients? specific obligations to develop procedures designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of data and to implement strategic response plans to identify, evaluate, and respond to data security incidents. The applicant should have experience with information security and privacy using sound judgment to provide strategic legal counsel to business leaders throughout the organization and to be a resource for our clients and colleagues. Requirements and Qualifications: incidents Hands on experience advising clients on state and federal privacy laws and conducting deal diligence in financing and commercial transactions Working familiarity with data driven technologies, including AI/ML and biometrics and related global regulatory frameworks Familiarity with GDPR/UK GDPR frameworks and international data transfers preferred Familiarity with HIPAA, ECPA, Patriot/Cloud Act, GDPR and other privacy laws Prior experience with data breach response and defense of enforcement actions brought by state attorneys general, FTC, OCR/HSS, SEC Cybersecurity unit and the EU regulators a plus Licensed attorney with 3+ years legal experience Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school Admitted to practice in Utah or ability to be admitted by motion Ability to multi-task and prioritize is essential Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Good judgment, responsiveness, and perseverance Strong academic credentials The firm?s generous salary competitive compensation and benefits package includes medical and dental coverage, coverages, generous retirement benefits, life insurance coverage, and short-term and long-term disability coverage. coverages.
