Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior

RMC is hiring aCyber Security Engineer, Senior to support services we provide to the Enterprise Systems (ES) Department of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Service Centers in Charleston, SC. This support will be primarily for the Data Center and Cloud Hosting Services (DC2HS) Division. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will design, implement, and support cyber security solutions.

Job Duties:

• Manage system and network vulnerabilities.

• Conduct risk assessment of existing systems and provides recommendations for secure solutions.

• Keep up to date on cyber security threats and how to thwart them.

• Handle moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

• Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter.

• May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

Requirements

• At least Ten (10) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. Experience may include plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network; assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies; ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure; and respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.

• Three (3) years of technical experience in support of an enterprise hosting environment either on-premises or in the cloud in support of multiple interconnected systems and enterprise managed services.
• Individual shall have notable experience supervising and/or mentoring of lesser experienced personnel.

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent

• At least one (1) of the following IAT Level II certifications: CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

• Must meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicable.
• An A ctive DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $120,000 to $165,000 (annually).
