Cyber Engineer

The Mission Solutions Business Area at Leidos has an opening for a Cyber Engineer in Reston, Virginia to support a fast-paced team working on projects critical to National Security. The primary focus of the group is reverse engineering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) related installations. Candidate must bring a creative, yet sound, approach to identifying and solving challenges, and have exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness. The successful candidate will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team of government and contractor personnel. Work will be performed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment within a government facility.

Role and Responsibility:

The candidate shall perform the following as part of a larger team:

Vulnerability research and analysis, reversing engineering threats to determine methods of exploitation, malware research, researching innovative tools and techniques, and manipulating code execution

Securing development environments and software through application security architecture software evaluations, web application vulnerability assessment penetration testing and fuzzing, malware research and vulnerability mitigation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully brief and interact with personnel at all levels of experience, including Senior Officials

Requirements and Qualifications:

US Citizenship is required

Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI, or a Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI, and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI w/ poly level clearance

Relevant Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or MS with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in a technical domain

Experience in lieu of degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with building control or industrial control systems (BCS/ICS)

Military or defense-related experience and an understanding of operational planning is a strong plus.

Knowledge of WMD materials, production, storage and use

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
