Customer Service Clerk

Position Summary Our Customer Service Clerk assists the Front End Manager and Customer Service Lead in executing the store's front-of-house operations, including cashiering, customer service, checkout efficiency, and janitorial tasks. This role ensures a positive shopping experience by maintaining excellent customer service standards, ensuring that common areas are clean and sanitary, and accurately executing cash handling processes. As a main point of customer contact, this position plays a uniquely important role in the overall success of the store.

• Streamline the customer experience through fast, friendly, and accurate checkouts.
• Delight customers by exceeding their expectations with? best-in-class service.
• Carefully bag each customer?s order and offer assistance in loading their cars.
• Perform daily cleaning duties, including sweeping the floors, operating the floor machine, cleaning restrooms, and other duties as assigned by the Front End Manager.
• Handle customer concerns, complaints, and service recovery professionally and efficiently.
• When cashiering, follow all cash handling procedures, including counting down and reconciling tills.?
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards in checkout and entrance areas.
• Resolve operational issues quickly to maintain service levels.
• Coordinate with store leadership to support overall store operations and customer satisfaction goals..

Requirements

• Relevant industry experience preferred but not required
• Basic computer, POS, and cash management knowledge
• Strong problem?solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of food safety regulations preferred, but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfortable working in varying temperature environments (coolers, freezers, kitchens)
