Ballard Spahr LLP is a more than 750 lawyer firm with 18 offices across the U.S. Our Minneapolis office and the Business & Transactions Department seek to hire a corporate M&A associate with 2-5 years of substantive experience practicing in mergers and acquisitions. Qualified candidates will have substantive experience in mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and commercial matters (such as licensing and technology agreements) and corporate governance. Experience with private equity transactions is a plus. Successful candidates will have strong academic credentials and superior writing and communication skills. An active license in Minnesota is required.
Our Business and Transactions Department has a regional and national practice involving public and private companies and nonprofit organizations, including private equity funds, financial institutions, investment companies, sports and other franchises, public utilities, and hospitals and health services. Our clients include companies engaged in technology; life sciences, including pharmaceutical and medical device; manufacturing and services; energy; retail; telecommunications; and software.

The salary for this position is expected to be $205,000-$245,000 depending on experience.
