Job Description


The Executive Protection (EP) Specialist serves as a security professional within Corporate Security with a focus on managing direct security coverage for executive staff during travel to certain locations or at certain events. This includes working with executive staff trip planners, TA's and other senior Intel managers to understand trip objectives, event schedules and assisting in the arrangement of trip logistics and safe movement between travel destinations while traveling on Intel business. EP Specialist will also be called upon to lead and/or support organizing and managing security for various internal or external events sponsored by Intel.

Associated with this role the EP Specialist may be called upon to support investigations into threats or incidents that may occur and/or any number of other types of issues as deemed appropriate. Physical fitness is a critical component of the role as it requires having sufficient stamina to handle the long hours, travel, standing, etc., and the expectation that there will be situations requiring expenditure of energy - whether it's running, lifting, moving injured people, overpowering a potential attacker, etc.

Fitness and conditioning is also as much for the EP member's health and well-being as it is the protected.

The EP member must be able to:

Create detailed security plans prior to each event or trip including country risk assessments and recommendations.

When appropriate, visit planned trip locations to assess best transportation routes, locate venues, identify security risks, evaluate hotels, and fine tune trip plans.

Accompany Intel executives to provide security and assist in the seamless transportation between locations working closely with Sr. level managers around the world.

Create documented security plans for major Intel events, i.e. consumer shows and sales conferences.

Ensure that contract security resources are identified and provide contractually agreed services during the event and assist with all security related matters during the event.

Interface with global law enforcement agencies as needed.

Working closely with Site Operations Security personnel and providing basic event and other security training as needed.

Achieve and maintain annual training and certification in the areas of protective security operations and medical EMT B equivalent.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel?s immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS + 4 yrs. exp.; MS + 3 yrs. exp. in Criminal Justice or related degree or 6+ yrs. exp. in relevant Executive Protection, Law Enforcement, or equivalent security experience in lieu of a degree

4+ years of relevant Executive Protection, Law Enforcement, or equivalent security experience

Domestic and international experience in providing executive or personal protection security

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have unquestionable integrity and strong commitment to keep high level discussions, event activities and strategic plans confidential.

Well versed in protection strategies, tactics, and technology.

Strong project management skills to include organization, communications, documentation, and cross group collaboration.

Strong interpersonal skills, and customer service mentality.

Ability to assess risks to personnel and assets and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure their safety.

Ability to communicate clearly/effectively by both written and verbal means and maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work as an individual or as a member of a team with little or no direct supervision.

Ability to be comfortable working and interacting with senior executives, other external VIPs to include high level government officials, corporate executives and figures from the entertainment world.

Ability to provide medical attention in the short term until professional medical services are available.

Ability to assess quickly evolving situations (situational awareness) and appropriately modify plans to ensure success.

Ability to travel and work long hours and stay focused. Willingness to be away from home for long periods of time.

Candidates must submit and pass a position of trust (POT) background check upon being hired.

Possesses the background and/or experience that enhances the diversity of the Corporate Security Organization.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $116,850.00-$164,960.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
