Overview:

Konica Minolta is seeking a dedicated In-House Attorney to join our legal team. This role involves providing legal counsel on commercial litigation and pre-litigation matters, and corporate compliance and regulatory concerns. The role is part-time, averaging 20 hours per week.


The hourly rate for this position ranges from $42.31 to $78.61, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counsel on commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, and supervise outside counsel.
  • Pre-litigation research and settlement negotiations.
  • Respond to government inquiries and customer inquiries and disputes.
  • Draft, review, and refine documentation such as policies, handbooks, and separation agreements to align with evolving legal standards and business needs
  • Deliver legal analysis and practical guidance on ethics, internal policy interpretation, and a broad range of compliance issues
  • Support internal compliance initiatives through the execution of audits and the development and facilitation of training programs tailored to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and interpret emerging legal trends and regulatory developments, proactively advising on potential impacts and recommending strategic responses.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey.
  • 3+ years of legal experience
  • Prior in-house attorney experience desirable
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
