Corporate Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Corporate Associate Attorney to join a top law firm's Corporate Practice in San Francisco, CA. About the Corporate Section

This Corporate Section provides a blend of extensive legal expertise and practical business counseling, enabling clients to achieve their goals across a wide range of business transactions. The team advises on a diverse array of issues that affect commercial, financial, and industrial enterprises, both publicly and privately owned.

Responsibilities

In this role, the corporate associate will:

• Support mergers and acquisitions, securities, and venture capital practices, with the potential to work on private equity transactions.
• Integrate into the team and contribute to the firm's expanding presence in the Bay Area.
• Engage with clients and provide business-focused legal counsel.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a team environment, working approximately 60% of the time in the office, in accordance with firm guidelines.

Qualifications

• JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission (or eligibility for admission) to the California Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in M&A, securities, venture capital, and/or private equity.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Professionalism and client engagement skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle competing responsibilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $310,000, with eligibility for bonuses. The firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
