World Central Kitchen is seeking a highly skilled and tenacious Manager to lead Community Outreach operations on the ground and ensure the rapid identification and fulfillment of food needs. The ideal candidate excels at complex problem-solving to connect with and serve disaster-affected communities, thrives in fast-moving, rapidly changing environments, and is versed at building relationships with diverse communities to understand and meet evolving needs. The Community Outreach Manager is an innovator who leads with empathy and compassion, and plays a critical role in building and training locally led response teams in order to coordinate the efficient and effective provision of food resources promptly. The Community Outreach Manager is responsible for ensuring food aid rapidly reaches communities in need in alignment with WCK's North Starvalues.
The Community Outreach Manager is a two-year term position with the opportunity for renewal, offering a unique chance to lead and shape WCK's responses. This position reports directly to the Response Director during activations, and the Senior Manager while off activation.
Duration : The Community Outreach Manager is a two (2) year term exempt position with the opportunity for renewal.
Preferred Location(s): North America (Northeast, California, Florida, Texas). Must live within one (1) hour of an international airport.
