Commercial Truck Painter

We have an immediate opening for a Commercial Truck Painter at our Baltimore, MD Body Shop . Our Painters are critical members of our team, ensuring every vehicle we service meets the highest aesthetic and quality standards. Work at the most modern truck paint and body shop in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area!

Our Baltimore facility houses a 60 ft. state-of-the-art AFC spray booth capable of painting two trucks at once in different colors , while filtering all exhaust to meet EPA environmental regulations . We paint and refinish a wide range of vehicles including road tractors, trailers, box trucks, school buses, RVs, vans, and utility bodies. We also handle full vehicle rebranding and fleet re-identification.

• Prep, mask, and paint commercial vehicles and components
• Mix and apply paint to match OEM or custom color specifications
• Maintain spray booth and painting equipment to ensure top performance
• Inspect surfaces and perform minor bodywork/touch-ups as needed
• Work closely with body technicians and estimators to deliver high-quality results

Requirements

We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Truck Painter with a strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate will bring painting experience, a positive attitude, and a drive to produce professional, showroom-quality results.

• At least 1 year of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle painting (on-the-job training available)
• Must have personal painting tools and equipment (specialty tools and spray guns preferred; some shop tools provided)
• Must be a self-motivated team player , able to work independently and maintain efficiency without sacrificing quality

• Experience with medium and heavy-duty trucks , trailers, or box trucks
• Familiarity with paint mixing, color matching , and modern refinishing techniques
• Knowledge of surface prep, masking, priming , and use of HVLP spray equipment

• The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range would be $18 to $33 per hour
