Commercial Litigation Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney for a full-service and leading defense litigation law firm located in San Diego, Ca. The firm has more than 1100 attorneys, across 44 offices across the United States. They rank among the top 200 law firms identified by The American Lawyer.

This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with 4+ years of litigation experience to grow in their careers with one of our firm's national client service teams by taking on substantial litigation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in California
• 4-6+ years of experience in commercial litigation, including breach of contract, D&O, and trade secret litigation
• Experience with MSJs
• Experience with complex factual patterns and legal argument, such as nuance with contractual interpretations and breach of fiduciary duty claims
• Ability to handle discovery disputes with minimal supervision
• Ability to take depositions
• Corporate Governance experience is a plus
• Legal project management experience is helpful

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports
• Regularly handle court appearances, and depositions

The annualized salary range for this position is $135,000 to $170,000+
