Day Shift

Royalty Medical Solutions is seeking a dedicated CLS Microbiologist to join our client's team at a leading clinical laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for performing microbiological tests and analyses that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of infections. The CLS Microbiologist plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of test results, maintaining high laboratory standards, and helping to improve patient outcomes through effective microbiological services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct a variety of microbiological tests including cultures, sensitivities, and molecular diagnostics.

Isolate and identify microorganisms from clinical specimens.

Perform quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and regulations.

Analyze test results and communicate findings to healthcare professionals.

Maintain records of tests performed and ensure data integrity.

Collaborate with other laboratory staff to maintain laboratory equipment and contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures.

Participate in training and mentoring of junior staff and laboratory assistants.

Stay current with advancements in microbiology and laboratory practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license from a recognized certifying agency.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a microbiology-focused clinical laboratory.
  • Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, quality control, and safety practices.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
