Essential functions (job duties):

This part-time position in Livonia, MI provides frontline customer service (in-person, phone and email) through daily interactions with students, faculty, staff and guests.

Provides front desk clerical support for the daily operation of the satellite center including answering the phones.

Assist students, the public and guests with inquiries related to academic programs, advising and student services offered at the satellite center.

Provide general computer-related troubleshooting assisting faculty with classroom set-up and other issues (i.e. media equipment, classroom requests and technology).

Open and close the satellite facility and maintain a secure environment.

Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Unique duties:

Location: Wayne State University Schoolcraft Center, 39201 Seven Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Evening shift: between 4:00pm ? 8:30pm (Monday-Thursday); Summer hours between 8:30am-5:00pm. Hours:10-20 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Customer service experience preferred
• Strong communications skills are a plus
• Ability to work independently during evening hours
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Must be dependable and willing to perform other duties as assigned
