Job Description

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Child Abuse Trained Pediatrician in Philadelphia, US.

We are recruiting a full time BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician to join the hospital's Child Protection Program.

The Child Protection Program was established in 2004 to provide comprehensive medical evaluations for suspected victims of abuse within the greater Philadelphia area. Current staff members include two board certified child abuse pediatricians, a dedicated social worker, nurse, and support staff. Each year, this program provides hundreds of medical evaluations for suspected cases of physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. These multidisciplinary evaluations occur in the inpatient setting, outpatient clinics, as well as the city's regional Child Advocacy Center. The team works closely with local investigators to ensure timely communication of the medical findings with each case. The program is committed towards educating trainees as well as medical students, residents, and fellows in the region. Prospective candidates should have a vested interest in program development and education.

Requirements

BC/BE in Child Abuse Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics
BC in Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics
Graduate of an ACGME accredited Pediatric residency
Graduate of an ACGME accredited Child Abuse Pediatric Fellowship
Unrestricted PA medical license at time of employment
Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification for Commonwealth of PA
