Certified Nursing Assistant - Full-Time - Day Shift

• Supports and adheres to Nursing Service and administrative policies and procedures.
• Performs patient care in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Monitors the hospital experience from the perspective of the individual patient and functions as a patient advocate.
• Treats the patient and their family with respect and dignity while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Effectively communicates with patients, families and members of the nursing team in accordance with standards of practice.
• Maintains effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and supplies.
• Accepts temporary reassignment to another area or work function for which the employee has the necessary skills.
• Assures that all tasks performed are in compliance with related state and federal guidelines, rules and regulations.
• Maintains composure under stress and utilizes resources to cope with stressful situations.
• Willingly accepts delegated tasks within scope of practice.
• Answers the patient call bell system in a prompt manner and speaks in a quiet, calm, courteous voice.
• Documents in patient record appropriately.
• Actively participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Abides by Yoakum Community Hospital policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
• Assures all tasks performed are in compliance with related State and Federal guidelines, rules and regulations.
• Performance of other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be currently certified as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Texas.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Genuine interest in welfare of the ill.
• Current CPR certification.
