The Buyer/Planner is responsible for purchasing and planning the manufacture/assembly of Dunlop products.This person coordinates activities involved with procuring goods such as raw materials, tools, parts, supplies, and corresponds with vendors for the company ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and that they meet the high standards of quality that Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc. is known for. Duties & Responsibilities: This list is representative of the duties and responsibilities of this position, but is not intended to be all-inclusive.

• Process purchase requirements for various production materials
• Evaluate items for cost competiveness. Establish and maintain cost reduction programs
• Recommend new sources and suppliers.
• Negotiate blanket purchase contracts with new and existing suppliers that will deliver product at lowest total acquisition cost.
• Interact with a diverse group of suppliers regarding quality discrepancies, requisitions, and PO variances.
• Plan, modify, and reschedule purchase orders according to production schedules
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials
• Assists with producing and scheduling production runs based on product demands
• Maintain the schedule and actively communicate changes to production team on a routine basis.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Buyer/Planner.
• High School or some college.

• Excellent communication (writtenand verbal) ability.
• Comfortable working under the pressure of timeconstraints.
• Strong interpersonalskills with a well balanced presence.
• Strongmathematical skills.
• Ableto work on own and within a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office(Excel, Word, Outlook) and MRP systems.

Benefits

Competitive Salary commensurate with ability.The pay range is initially set to be between $62,000 - $68,000 annually
