Founded in 2024 by GeoStabilization International, RoadGuard brings together seven industry-leading road safety companies dedicated to strengthening the nation's roadways. The team's combined expertise lies in crafting and implementing optimized solutions that prioritize the safety of individuals and improve infrastructure across the United States.

RoadGuard's specialized services include guardrail/ guide rail installation, commercial fencing solutions, bridge railing services, highway signage, and specialty fabrication.

Job Summary

We are hiring a Business Controller focused on our Road Guard entity in the Western US. This is not just a steward of financial accuracy, but a strategic thinker capable of scaling systems, developing people, and driving insight through operational data. This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of our finance operations'responsible for guiding the accounting team, owning technical accounting, and partnering cross-functionally with leaders across the business.

This hire is crucial to supporting GSI's ongoing growth, including post-acquisition integrations, internal control maturation, and continuous margin-focused decision making.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on role in the project controls, project review and related processes in conjunction with the operations leaders.
• Key advisor to operations leadership related to leading and trending indicators to improve company performance
• Lead and continuously improve all core accounting functions: month-end close, GL management, audits, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Conduct and guide technical accounting research, documentation, and policy update.
• Oversee accounting execution for complex transaction cycles and key accounts
• Serve as a lead partner in the integration of acquired entities into GSI's financial systems
• Collaborate with FP&A and operational leaders on cashflow, budgeting, forecasting margin tracking, and financial accuracy by project
• Support tax planning and compliance in coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Drive automation and system improvements to streamline the month-end close process
• Prepare key reporting for executive decision making and board visibility

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Demonstrated process and systems development experience.
• Ability to travel occasionally along the Western US and to our HQ in Westminster, CO
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Deep proficiency in Excel and comfort with financial systems

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience running a complete month-end close cycle
• Prior use of Vista by Viewpoint
• Background in public accounting or fast-scaling private companies
• Hands-on experience with M&A integration

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule. Employees will be expected to work in the Westminster office with travel in the Western US as needed.

The expected base pay range for this position is $90,000-130,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits.
