Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Perform database installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Create and manage database users, roles, and permissions.
- Implement database security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning strategies.
- Perform regular database backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for SQL-related issues.
- Stay updated on the latest SQL technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of SQL databases with other systems and applications.
- Maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Requirements
- 12+ years as a BI Developer, Data Engineer, or similar experience .
- Strong experience in Python and SQL is required
- Demonstrated experience developing business reporting applications (Qlik Sense, Tableau, or similar BI tool), end-to-end Demonstrated
- experience developing ETL pipelines and architecture
- Previous experience in FinTech Industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Someone who thrives within a dynamic, quickly changing environment; is curious and self-driven.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field-
- Microsoft certifications in SQL Server or Data Management
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Database Administration
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
- Experience in SSRS
- Experience in database backup and recovery
- Strong proficiency in managing Microsoft SQL databases
