The Role

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure ? good at providing analysis, documenting and diagramming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally ?figuring it out.? This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

Responsibilities :

As a Cloud Automation Engineer at Kyndryl, you will play a key role in specific project deliverables and will work on improving current processes to reduce manual work by building, testing and deploying automation for the enterprise cloud platform. This is a full hands-on position that requires previous experience building cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for large-scale, multi-account environments across different public cloud providers. You will be part of Engineering team that builds and supports workloads across multiple public cloud vendors. A successful candidate will bring a strong background in automation, software engineering, scripting, and building cloud solutions from scratch.

Improve operational processes by developing automation that effectively eliminates manual work from our cloud account provisioning processes.

Deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for missing critical workloads.

Implement automated configuration and deployment process towards improving functionality, availability, and manageability.

Define, document, and maintain processes required to support the environment through the use of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, scripting languages, developer tools.

Work with a global team to support cloud platforms in multiple regions.

Solve problems related to mission critical services and build automation to proactively detect and prevent their re occurrences.

Collaborate via open communication reaching across functional borders to analyze, tune, and configure automated platform infrastructure and systems.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience working on infrastructure for multi-account & multi-cloud environments.

Significant experience with the Infrastructure as Code tool like

Terraform

Proficient in configuration management using

Ansible . Develop new playbooks and invoke jobs via Ansible Tower API.

Expertise in coding and scripting using PowerShell, Python.

Experience working with

Jira .

Experience consuming RESTful APIs to integrate with third-party software tools and build automation around it.

Understanding of Cloud Networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and routing in distributed networks.

Detail-oriented and able to follow through. Ability to plan changes with good detail, communicate these details to multiple teams, and document changes after successful implementations.

Ability to work in a highly efficient team working on multiple simultaneous projects and while delivering results on all tasks and projects assigned.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

With bachelor's degree or master's degree

Experience in working on Service Now

Terraform or Ansible certifications are a big plus.

Experience with orchestration ? Ansible preferred
