Automation Engineer (Node.js + Playwright)

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Automation Engineer (Node.js + Playwright) to join our team and work on exciting projects for a large UAE bank . This is a full-time onsite role requiring you to work from our Bengaluru Offshore Development Center (ODC) .

Education:

• Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development and automation testing, with strong expertise in Node.js .
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with TypeScript .
• Proven experience with Playwright for automation testing (preferred), alongside tools like Cucumber , Appium , or Selenium .
• Banking or financial services domain experience is highly preferred .

• Backend Development: Expertise in building and testing scalable, secure, and high-performing APIs and microservices using Node.js .
• Frontend Development: Proficiency with modern frontend technologies like React , Angular , or Vue.js .
• Automation Testing: Strong experience in designing and implementing end-to-end test suites using Playwright , with an emphasis on BDD methodologies .
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL APIs .
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience troubleshooting distributed service ecosystems.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes .
• Familiarity with API Gateway integrations (e.g., 3Scale ).
• Proficiency in authentication mechanisms, including SSO , JWT , and OAuth .
• Knowledge of task/message queues like AWS SQS , Azure Queue , Kafka , or Pushpin .

• Ability to follow and enforce best practices for coding standards, automation testing, manual testing, security, and documentation .
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development processes.
• Capable of evaluating and implementing new technologies to ensure the adoption of best-in-class solutions.

• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions.
• Self-motivated and capable of independently driving projects while working collaboratively with others.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and executive management.

• Experience working in the banking or financial services sector .
• Deep expertise with Playwright as the primary tool for automation testing.
• Strong foundation in Node.js development , with a focus on automation and scalability.

• While the primary focus is on automation testing , candidates should be prepared to perform manual testing when required to ensure comprehensive quality assurance.
