Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Associate Network Security Engineer to maintain and enhance IT infrastructure with a focus on firewall management, VPN configuration, and network security. This role prioritizes infrastructure reliability and security and offers opportunities to expand into advanced areas such as endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and cloud security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other network security appliances to ensure a secure and stable environment.
Implement and manage network segmentation, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control policies.
Perform Linux server administration, hardening, and regular maintenance with a focus on security best practices.
Provide support for technical issues, including remote desktop troubleshooting and resolution of network-related incidents.
Analyze, manage, and mitigate vulnerability risks using tools like Nessus, Qualys, or similar.
Collaborate on the design and implementation of secure, scalable network architectures for on-premises and cloud environments.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting processes to maintain consistent and repeatable operations.
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPN technologies, and network security best practices.
Proficient in Linux system administration (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat) and server hardening techniques.
Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and routing concepts.
Familiarity with endpoint security solutions, such as CrowdStrike, Symantec, or similar.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a focus on network and securitv issues
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
2-3 years of hands-on experience in network security or infrastructure engineering.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security services like cloud firewalls and VPN gateways.
Exposure to vulnerability assessment tools and remediation strategies.
Understanding of basic automation tools (e.g., Ansible) and infrastructure as code (Terraform) as a plus but not mandatory.
