Job Summary:
Under broad supervision, In this impactful position, you will: ? Champion Privacy: Serve as the HIPAA Privacy Officer, developing and implementing comprehensive privacy programs to safeguard sensitive health information and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Shape Agreements: Negotiate and draft a wide range of contracts, agreements, and MOUs, ensuring strong legal protections and facilitating crucial partnerships.
Provide Strategic Legal Counsel: Offer expert legal guidance on complex behavioral health issues, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
Investigate and Resolve Compliance Issues: Proactively identify and address potential compliance gaps, ensuring adherence to regulations.
Collaborate Across Teamss to achieve shared goals and foster a culture of compliance. ? Be a Problem-Solver: Investigate and resolve compliance issues, conduct risk assessments, and provide expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has: ? Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school. ? Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia. ? 3+ years of legal experience, with a preference for 5+ years and experience in healthcare law, HIPAA, and/or state contracts and procurement. ? Minimum Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university and license to practice law in the State of Georgia or eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination followed by Georgia Bar exam passage and licensure to practice law in the State of Georgia within one (1) year of hiring or reciprocity and two (2) years of relevant legal -experience; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower-level Attorney 2 (LEP021).

Preferred Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia. ?
3+ years of legal experience, with a preference for 5+ years and experience in healthcare law, HIPAA, and/or state contracts and procurement.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
