Responsibilities:
The Associate Counsel will generally work remotely and must be able to work collaboratively with the CLO, Senior Counsel and members of other multidisciplinary teams. The Associate Counsel will maintain and promote positive relationships with co-workers, patients, local community members and members of the professional community.
The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000, based on experience.
Essential Functions:
- Promote the five principles of Fast Pace: Communication, Teamwork, Empowerment, Quality of Care, and Friendliness.
- Provide exemplary customer service to co-workers, patients, and visitors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including compliance & corporate staff, supervising physicians, nurse practitioners, physician?s assistants, nurses, clinical staff, and other support staff.
- Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (health care law, labor law, corporate law, etc.)
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
- Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company?s full legal rights
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
- Conduct their work with integrity and responsibility
- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation

Experience Requirements and Preferences::
Education: Juris Doctor
AND
Experience:
- At least 3 years of legal experience required
- Preferred at least 5 years of legal experience
- Preferred at least 1 year of experience working autonomously.
Current License or Certification:
- Law Degree
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
- Admitted to practice, or eligible for admission, to practice law in Tennessee
- Eligible for admission to practice law in additional jurisdictions as reasonably requested by the Fast Pace Health family of companies
