Assistant Warehouse Manager

The Assistant Warehouse Manager ensures that the warehouse operates seamlessly, supporting the broader objectives of the organization. Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatching of goods and contributes to the development of operational policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in the successful and timely flow of production work.

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, to ensure efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment.

• Deliver and pick up materials as needed.

• Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse staff, including regular safety drills and training.

• Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize accuracy in stock levels.

• Supervise and schedule warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and managing payroll-related activities.

• Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and machinery to ensure operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

• Analyze warehouse operations and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes to increase productivity.

• Oversee the implementation of new warehouse technology or systems, including training staff on its use and ensuring a smooth transition.

Requirements

Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of business experience.
• Knowledge of inventory control, distribution principles and organizational skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Netsuite (Oracle) and RF-Smart knowledge.
