Express Employment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Supervisor for the Day Shift in Toledo, Ohio. In this role, you will assist in supervising the daily operations of the manufacturing team for a Tier 1 Supplier, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Assist the Production Supervisor in managing daily operations of the manufacturing floor
Coordinate and communicate work assignments to production team members
Monitor production activities and make necessary adjustments to meet quality and efficiency standards
Conduct training and orientation for new employees, ensuring they understand safety and operational procedures
Maintain accurate production records and report on performance metrics to management
Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among staff
Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with the Supervisor to implement changes

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
Previous experience in a manufacturing or supervisory role is highly desirable
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
