Express Employment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Supervisor for the Day Shift in Toledo, Ohio. In this role, you will assist in supervising the daily operations of the manufacturing team for a Tier 1 Supplier, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Assist the Production Supervisor in managing daily operations of the manufacturing floor
- Coordinate and communicate work assignments to production team members
- Monitor production activities and make necessary adjustments to meet quality and efficiency standards
- Conduct training and orientation for new employees, ensuring they understand safety and operational procedures
- Maintain accurate production records and report on performance metrics to management
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork among staff
- Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with the Supervisor to implement changes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or supervisory role is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and production software
